The Book Table Ministry invites you to come and browse the new materials we have for your Spiritual Spring and Summer reading pleasure. Come to the Christian Life Center and browse the book table as long as you wish. As a mission effort to reach out to our neighbors and Hispanics in our community, HPUMC will provide an 11 week program for persons who want to learn English.  The classes are called ESL (English as a Second Language) You don’t need to know Spanish to volunteer for this program.  We need persons to distribute flyers, assist in registration, tutor, teach, child care, etc.  Again, the program is set up so that you DO NOT NEED TO SPEAK ENGLISH.  Please contact Dr. Burt Affleck at 972-235-4633, ext. 14 or contact Rev. The Youth Sacred Dancers will rehearse as follows: Saturdays 1PM - 3PM  (May 17th, & 24th) No practice in June & July - Enjoy your summer with travels, camps and family!

Spring is here and summer is around the corner.  Do you know what that means??  It means Vacation Bible School will be here before you know it.  The date is June 23-27, 2008.  Our theme is: WALK IT OUT:  TOGETHER IN THE WAY OF JESUS.  Registration for Volunteers (all areas) only has begun.  Today we will begin student sign-up following both services in the CLC.  We thank you in advance and look forward to a great week of walking with Jesus!  God’s Peace and Blessings!

Join us as we delve into GOD'S Word by reading "Reposition Yourself", by Bishop T.D. Jakes, and "8 Steps to Create the Life You Want", by Dr. Creflo A. Dollar.   Each book will be covered over a 6-week self-paced period so you can relax and enjoy the summer with a luncheon to follow the completion of each book.   We will begin reading "Reposition Yourself" on May 1st with the first luncheon scheduled for Saturday, June 21st.  May GOD continue to increase our knowledge in Him as we walk this journey of faith!  For more detailed information call Pamela Wallace at (214) 763-7348.

The Youth Ministry wishes to thank all of the volunteers and donors who supported the World Vision 30 Hour Famine.  We will collect packets today after each worship service in the Christian Life Center.  If you have any outstanding money for youth who participated, please provide it to them so they may turn it in promptly.

Attention Pioneer Club Members and Parents:

The second half of Pioneer Club for this school year is about to come to an end.  The last day will be Wednesday, May 14th.  We will have an "End Of Year-Camp-In"  Celebration from 6:30pm to 8:15pm.  For those who would like to see what Pioneer Club is about and learn some of the things we have done this year, stop on by.  Thanks to all the participants, volunteers and parents  who contributed their time, knowledge and love for this year's Pioneer Club.      Thank you most importantly for your service and honor to our great God!  We appreciate you greatly!

Forms are available to (1) request a table to be set up in the CLC for Ministry events; and, (2) request use of classrooms, CLC, Chapel, etc., for meetings and activities.   They are located in folders on the wall ‘file boxes’ outside the office.
